A MAN has been arrested after police carried out a drugs raid on a house in Burnley.
Officers said hey found a “significant amount of Class A drugs, which have an estimated street value of between £1,000 and £1,300, after searching the house in Branch Road.
Officers, who were accompanied by the police dog unit, executed a search warrant at the house on Friday morning.
Following the raid, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
PC Rachel Carroll wrote on the Burnley and Padiham Police Facebook page: “Just an update on some activity in Burnley Wood. Officers from the Burnley Neighbourhood Policing Team along with our four legged crime fighter ‘Meg’ executed a drugs warrant at an address in Branch Road, Burnley. A significant amount of Class A drugs were recovered with an initial valuation given of between £1,000 & £1,300, along with a quantity of cash. A 21-year old male was arrested and is in custody regretting certain life choices.”
