A non-profit housing company will carry out £600,00 of repairs on social housing properties.
Calico Homes, who have already completed £1.2 million of external works to the Brunshaw estate, have authorised a further £600,000 to be spent on improving the appearance of the properties.
Lisa Bell, Calico’s Property Services Manager, said: “The improvement works we are carrying out are part of our continual commitment to improve our properties and invest in our communities”.
The works, which will be carried out by Ring Stone Maintenance and Construction, will include improvements to roofing, external brickwork and rainwater systems on the houses.
“We’ve had fantastic feedback from customers across Brunshaw about the works we’ve already completed in the area and the improvement they’ve made to the quality of their home.
We can’t wait to carry out the work to other properties in need of renovation in the area”.
