A SERIES of special buses will be running when a popular agricultural show hops over the Lancashire and Yorkshire border later this month.
Public transport operators First will be running the 591 service this weekend to support Todmorden Agricultural Show on Saturday, June 17.
For the first time it will be taking place at Cliviger Show Field, next to the Ram Inn, Burnley Road, after organisers ran into technical problems with their traditional home in Centre Vale Park, Todmorden.
Buses will be running between Burnley and Todmorden, in either direction, from 9am to 7.45pm, for a £2 adult return and £1 child return.
Eleven animal sections, from cattle to children’s pets, have been lined up, alongside four main marquees and a host of trade stands.
Racing pigs, birds of prey and acrobats on horseback are in the main ring.
