A STOLEN car crashed into two walls and a lamppost this morning, police said.
The incident involving a white Audi Q7 happened in High Street, Belmont, at around 3.30am.
A police spokesman said the car was recovered.
He said: "The car collided with two walls and a lamppost.
"It was believed the occupants tried to set it on fire before making off in another vehicle.
"The road was closed for a short time to assist recovery and the council have attended to make a lamppost safe, enquiries are ongoing.
"If anyone has any information they should call the police on 101 and quote 134 of April 27.
