A NEW photography exhibition will be launched at the town hall later this month to celebrate the people of Todmorden.
Photographer Andy Wade is behind Todmorden: Portraits from a Town, which opens at the Burnley Road landmark on Friday, April 28.
He has captured locals from all walks of life for the year-long exhibition, with the first glimpses unveiled at the town’s folk festival.
Cllr Susan Press, Calderdale Council’s communities cabinet member, said: “It’s really worth a special visit to the town hall to see these wonderful photographs of local people and places, which really capture the spirit of Todmorden.”
Volunteers are also offering taster tours of the venue, which once straddled the county boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire.
These will take place on the first Sunday of each month, setting off at 2pm from the Halifax Road bridge.
