A DEVELOPER planning to demolish a former public toilet and build a bungalow hopes it will stop children congregating around the site.
Applicant Danny Ewart is aiming to build the home and a side garden on the corner of East Street and Water Street in Hapton.
A spokesman on behalf of Mr Ewart said: “The toilets are no longer required.
“There is no loss of employment has they have been closed for many years and the renovation of this unity property will enhance the area and stop local children congregating around the building.”
Hapton Parish Council is set to discuss the plans at its next meeting, which takes place on Monday, March 13, at the Hapton Community Centre at 7pm.
