A woman who turned up at court too drunk to be sentenced was sent to custody to sober up.
Susan Walmsley, 43, of Pritchard Street, Burnley, sobbed in the dock at Burnley Crown Court as the prosecutor said she had turned up in the same state for her plea hearing and was likely to do so again. Walmsley earlier admitted wounding her partner Wayne Forrest by knifing him.
Judge Charles Mahon remanded her until Tuesday.
