A TEENAGER planned a night at a hotel with his girlfriend but ended up in police cells.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Nathan David Caley and his girlfriend argued after checking into the Travel Lodge hotel at the Darwen Services on the M65.
And in a fit of temper, he damaged a wall light fitting.
Caley, 18, of Blackburn Road, Darwen, admitted criminal damage and was fined £65 with £25 compensation and £65 costs. He was subject to a suspended prison sentence.
Rachel Adamson, defending, said her client realised he had put himself in a serious position.
"He clearly has anger management problems and the probation service tell me these are being addressed as part of the supervision order he is already subject to," said Miss Adamson.
