A CENTRE to help homeless people and those experiencing housing problems has moved its offices to Blackburn.
The Lancashire Housing Aid Centre has opened in Preston New Road.
It is run by Shelter, a charity that deals with housing problems, after five years in Fleetwood. Shelter has helped more then 1,150 people in Lancashire over the past year.
Jim Devereux, area manager said: "We are delighted to open this centre in Blackburn.
"We aim to make these offices as user-friendly and visible as possible and, through advice services, to make a positive difference to more people with housing problems."
The office will still operate advice surgeries in Preston, Morecambe, Blackburn, Burnley, Bacup, Chorley and Kirkham Prison and its telephone advice service.
