A MAN was arrested after he dropped his trousers and went to the loo in full view of a female police worker.
Burnley Magistrates heard how jobless Andrew Woolley, 55, had gone into Colne police station asking to use the toilet, but had been refused.
He then defecated behind a bench in front of the station in Craddock Road.
Woolley had been charged with outraging public decency, but admitted disorderly behaviour. The defendant, of Crescent View, Keighley, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £95 costs.
Elizabeth Reed, prosecuting, said Woolley had gone to the police station inquiry desk and asked to use the lavatory. The assistant had explained they were not open to the public and directed him to public loos across the road.
The defendant said they were closed and was told he would have to go to a pub. He then went outside and took down his pants right outside the woman's office window.
Police, who found him with his trousers around his ankles, arrested him. At the police station Woolley said he was sorry.
