POLICE are growing concerned for a missing 78-year-old man who has not been seen for two days.
David Halstead, of Parker Street, Harle Syke, was last seen by his wife on Tuesday when he left his home address for a walk.
Police said Mr Halstead was a very meticulous man and stuck to a strict timetable.
The alarm was raised when he did not return home for his evening meal which is normally set for exactly 6.15 pm.
Although Mr Halstead is said to have been in good spirits when he left for his walk he has become depressed recently due to a medical condition which has left him not wanting to socialise and has caused him to lose a lot of weight.
He has short grey hair with a trimmed moustache and wears spectacles.
He left for his walk wearing a beige fleece top and grey trousers.
Anyone with information should call police on 01282 425001.
