A DROP-in event to highlight major bridge improvements will be held this Wednesday.
The existing bridge, located between St James Street and Irwell Terrace, Bacup, will be rebuilt during an eight-month period from September.
Lancashire County Council and Rossendale Borough Council are planning a major town centre improvement project to strengthen the existing bridge over the River Irwell through the centre.
The bridgework scheme is a vital part of the future regeneration of the town centre and will also allow the full implementation of new bus routes through the town.
The event will be held from 11am-7pm at Bacup Library.
