A 20 year-old man was taken to hospital suffering from facial and head injuries after crashing into a parked van on Sunday evening.
The man was driving a saloon car in Whalley Road in Clayton-le-Moors towards Whalley when he lost control near the Hyndburn Bridge Hotel at about 7.40pm.
Insp Graham Ashcroft said: "A vehicle being driven towards Whalley, a saloon car, was involved.
"As it's approached the Hyndburn pub it's collided with a parked van.
"One male driver has been taken to hospital with some facial and head injuries which are not believed life-threatening."
