An appeal for information has been made after burglar stole £2,000 worth of electrical items from a home in a rural area.
The goods were grabbed from a home in Belthorn Road after the patio doors at the rear were prised open sometime between 9.30am and 3pm on Thursday.
A silver Sony camcorder, a silver Dell laptop, a Pulsar watch and £400 in cash were taken.
DC Mark Oates of Darwen CID said: "It appears a good search has been made of the house and a number of the rooms have been entered.
"It's a relatively quiet area so if anyone has seen anyone milling about they might have some information for us."
Anyone with information can telephone Darwen CID on 01254 353830.
