Residents who have been forced to hang bags of rubbish on railings as there is no room for wheelie bins could soon see an improved situation.
People living in Blackburn Road, Haslingden, have had to leave unsightly bags of rubbish, which attract vermin, outside their homes, as due to their design there is no space for individual wheelie bins.
However an end could be in sight as Heidi Finlay, a Rossendale Council neighbourhood environmental action team manager, said that officers were hoping to install a communal bin in the area, in the near future.
