A DRUG addict who persistently stole to fund his habit was jailed for 120 days by Blackburn magistrates.
The court heard that despite his track record Lee Peter Holden questioned why he was always followed by security staff in Morrisons.
They said it was because he always stole razor blades and was he asked where they were.
"At that point he produced the razor blades he had already stolen and the police were called," said Scott Ainge, prosecuting.
Holden, 30, of Fawcett Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to burglary in a garden shed, shoplifting at Asda and Morrisons and theft from stalls on Blackburn market and asked for six offences to be considered.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said Holden had started experimenting with drugs when he was just 11 years old and by the time he was 18 was a user of heroin and crack cocaine.
