BAD weather failed to dampen the spirits of festival-goers at the Colne annual gala at Holt House playing fields.
A overcast and gloomy sky failed to ruin the procession of floats, cheerleaders and musicians as they paraded through the centre of Colne.
People lined the streets to watch the colourful procession to the sound of the bagpipes, brass bands and samba band.
First-time attendee Dawn Atkinson-Scott, of Skipton Road, came to the gala with her husband and two sons Elliot, six, and Morgan Five.
Mrs Atkinson said: "This is our first time here and the procession was very colourful.
"The kids really enjoyed it."
