POLICE in Burnley have vowed to continue their fight against drugs following raids in the town.
Two people were arrested when police found heroin and cocaine after they carried out two drugs warrants last week.
And officers say they will not rest in taking action against suspected dealers.
The busts were carried out simultaneously on neighbouring properties in Westmorland Street, Burnley, at 10am, on Tuesday.
The doors of the properties were smashed in and about six officers then carried out a search of the houses, finding a quantity of heroin and cocaine in one and a quantity of heroin in another.
A 37-year-old man from one house and a 32-year-old woman from the other house were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.
They were cautioned with the condition that they must attend an appointment at the drug clinic in Westgate.
The operation was led by PC Adam Gordon, a community beat manager for the Trinity area, who obtained the warrants after residents raised concerns about drug dealing at PACT meetings.
Sgt Martin Selway, from Burnley police, said officers would now be monitoring the properties.
He said: "We will do this to make sure that there is no further activity and if there is we will be considering a drugs closure order.
"Dealing in illegal drugs will simply not be tolerated by police and we will continue to take action against suspected drug dealers.
"If anyone has information about drug dealing in their area they should contact us so that we can take further action."
