ONE of two Burnley raiders who went on the bus to Crawshawbooth for a burgling spree has been jailed for three years.
Burnley Crown Court heard how drug addicts Stephen Burton, 24, and father-of-three Jason Wray, 31, tried to target houses in the village.
Burton was said to have been behind the expedition while his accomplice was the lookout.
Burton, who also broke into more than 20 houses in February and March, was jailed for three years.
Wray, who claimed he started taking heroin for pain relief because he could not get a NHS dentist, was given an 18-month community order, with supervision and a nine-month drug rehab-ilitation requirement.
Sentencing the duo, Recorder Andrew Nuttall told Burton his offences were clearly planned burglaries and went on: "People like you don't seem to realise the hurt you cause."
Burton admitted three burglaries, two attempts and asked for 19 offences to be considered.
Wray pleaded guilty to two attempted burglaries. Both live on Herbert Street in Burnley.
