A MAN took offence and damaged a former friend's car wing mirror when he was refused a lift.
Simbarasme Kuuya, 23, of Snowdon Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded guilty at Blackburn Magistrates Court to criminal damage and was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Phillip Hobe was sitting in his car on Darwen Street waiting for a friend when Kuuya, who was known to him, came over and asked for a lift.
Mr Hobe refused and locked the car doors when Kuuya tried to get in.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said the two men had been friends but had fallen out.
He added: "Kuuya thought they had resolved their differences but the aggrieved did not see it that way."
