A PRIMARY school in Darwen has been rated as good in all areas in an Ofsted report.
The education watchdog carried out the inspection at Avondale Primary School in Durham Road on May 2 and rated as good the overall effectiveness of the school; personal development and well-being; leadership and management; achievement and standards and quality of provision.
Nursery Les Enfants Ltd in Avondale Road, Darwen, also received a positive Ofsted report in April just four months after new ownership was introduced.
For Avondale, lead inspector June Tracey wrote: "Avondale is a good school. Pupils achieve well because teaching is consistently good throughout the school."
At Les Enfants, inspector Susan Lee wrote: "The quality and standards of the care are good "The quality and standards of the nursery education are satisfactory."
