A LODGER being thrown out of a house insisted on finishing his bottle of cider when police arrived to remove him from the premises, a court heard.
Burnley Magistrates' Court was told that officers were met with aggression and threats when they attended the house on Dall Street, Burnley.
Gareth Fishwick, 28, of no fixed address, had been allowed to stay at the house at first but the tenant had then told him he would have to leave.
Mark Williams, defending, said Fishwick had been evicted and had nowhere to go.
He agreed to pay the householder a fortnight's rent in advance and handed over the money.
Fishwick had then gone to sleep and the tenant had phoned police and said he couldn't get him out.
Mr Williams went on: "He was somewhat agitated when police woke him up."
He told them he was going to finish his bottle of cider but had to be restrained after threatening to hurt the householder. He was then forcibly removed.
Fishwick admitted breaching the peace and was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months.
