BLACKBURN with Darwen Council has already saved more than half the £12.7million needed to balance this year's budget.
Only three months in to the financial year, it has saved £6.7million through working more efficiently, but officials admit the savings achieved were relatively straight-forward.
A briefing paper to the council's executive board also warns that the adult social care service may struggle to hit its £3.3million target.
