A 24-YEAR-OLD man who thought he had seen his estranged partner with another man went to her house and removed their child and some of his property.
Hyndburn magistrates heard that what Matthew Thornley couldn't remove he wrecked but, in the process, accidentally knocked a hole in an internal wall.
Thornley, 24, of Picton Street, Blackburn, admitted damaging a wall, worth £24, belonging to Twin Valley Homes.
He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £24 compensation and £60 costs. Philippa White, prosecuting, said Tammy Ollerenshaw, Thornley's ex-partner, had gone out for the evening and a friend was babysitting.
Ian Huggan, defending, said Thornley had seen her with a man he thought was his friend. "He felt betrayed and was upset," he said.
