THE TEENAGE driver of a car that crashed whilst being pursued by police has been arrested.
The 19-year-old man was detained on suspicion of dangerous driving, possession of drugs, driving whilst impaired and failing to stop after he was released from Royal Blackburn Hospital yesterday. (fri).
He and his 15-year-old female passenger were both taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in crashed into a field off Altham Lane, Altham.
Police said that the vehicle failed to stop for a uniform patrol car on Dunkenhalgh Way, Accrington, at about 2.30am on Thursday.
The driver has been bailed until August, pending forensic analysis of samples he provided.
The girl remains in hospital, though her condition is improving and not thought to be serious.
