TRAIN services in East Lancashire are set to be disrupted as the result of various engineering works being undertaken on behalf of Network Rail.
Retimed trains and replacement bus services will affect commuters from Monday, mainly on routes from Blackpool through East Lancashire to Colne.
From Monday to Thursday the 10pm train from Blackpool South to Colne will terminate at Blackburn. A bus service will take passengers on to Colne.
Meanwhile the 4.43am service from Preston to Colne, Tuesday to Friday, will also cease at Blackburn. Replacement buses will run from Preston to Colne.
The 4.45am train from Blackpool North to Colne also terminates at Blackburn, with a replacement bus available for the journey.
And from Tuesday to Friday the 6.25am Blackburn to Clitheroe service will be retimed because of the works. It will leave Blackburn at 6.38am instead, calling at Ramsgreave at 6.44am, Langho at 6.48am, Whalley at 6.52am and arriving in Clitheroe at 7.03am.
