IDENTICAL twins accused of breaching an interim anti-social behaviour order within four hours of it being imposed have won their freedom - but are banned from Waterfoot.
Ashleigh and Katie Lynch, 19, were given the order by Rossendale magistrates last Wednesday afternoon after complaints of alleged drunken and nuisance conduct in the area.
The defendants, of Fairfield Avenue, Edgeside, Waterfoot, are said to have threatened a neighbour but deny the allegation.
They were remanded in custody by Burnley justices last Thursday, but yesterday were both given bail and ordered to live at Atkinson Street, Burnley.
They must observe a curfew, 8pm to 8am, not contact or attempt to contact prosecution witnesses or enter Waterfoot.
The twins are due to face trial accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour which they are not allowed to do under the terms of the ASBO.
They could face up to five years in jail, if convicted.
