YOUNGSTERS who were devastated when vandals destroyed a willow arbour have had the sculpture restored to its former glory.
Hoddlesden Millennium Green's Youth Group raised £200 to pay for repairs.
A table top sale raised £125, they received an anonymous donation of £25 and a £50 donation from the Blackburn Round Table.
Initially it was thought repairs and restoration would cost £500.
The youth committee came up with the idea of creating the arbour, applied for a grant to build it then spent a weekend in October constructing it.
The structure on the Green, designed by eco artist Jeff Allen was ripped apart by yobs on January 31.
Chair of Hoddlesden Millennium Green, Linda Dawson, said the youngsters, who are aged ten to 16, and villagers of The Green were angry and upset by the vandalism .
The youth group thanked everyone who helped and supported them.
