FLOWER power is coming to Waterfoot thanks to residents and businesses.
Hanging baskets, aimed at beautifying the village centre, are going up by the dozen, with businesses helping to meet the costs.
Pressure group Waterfoot Forward is providing volunteers to fill the baskets, and businesses are stumping up the £9-a-time it costs to buy the flowers.
All the wire baskets have been provided free of charge to the businesses by members of Waterfoot Forward.
Spokesman Maurice Jones said this was yet another example of people taking action to improve the place they live, and work.
He said: "They want to live in a village they can be proud of."
