THE call has gone out to groups to help make this year's Burnley Community Carnival one of the best ever.
Brunshaw Action Group, which organises the annual event, wants groups and organisations to come forward so they can start planning for the big day.
The event attracts thousands of people each year.
The carnival will see a parade of flamboyant dancing and club music travel into the heart of the town, bringing style and passion to the streets of Burnley.
The date has been set for Sunday, August 12, and organisers are keen to hear from dance groups, bands and voluntary groups and organisations.
A spokesman for Brunshaw Action Group, said: "Brunshaw Action will be the lead organisation dealing with all the planning and insurance for the event.
"It is free for groups to take part and every group will be insured by Brunshaw Action Group.
"We need groups to give us a call to register so that the insurance can be arranged.
"We can arrange lorries for groups who wish to take part and also we are looking for groups such as cubs, scouts and brownies to take part."
