A NUMBER of cannabis plants have been seized after police carried out a raid at a house in Blackburn today.
Fifteen plants and cultivation equipment were found in the loft of a house in Whitby Drive, Highercroft, when officers from the Blackburn South East NPT carried out the raid.
The cannabis plants have been seized and sent for forensic investigations.
A police spokesman said a male suspect has been identified and will be dealt with at a later date.
PCSO Tom Archer, of Blackburn Police, said: "Officers from the South East Neighbourhood Policing Team have today located a cannabis set up, which was located in a loft of an address on Whitby Drive in Highercroft.
"Officers will continue to target people who are involved in the production or supply of drugs, in order to keep the community safe.
"If you have any information regarding drugs in your local area please contact 101, your local neighbourhood policing team or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111."
