RESIDENTS are invited to get their area looking spick and span in time for it to bloom this summer.
A litter pick is taking place in Stubbins on Sunday and will also cover the areas of Strongstry and Chatterton.
It has been organised by Stubbins Residents' Association and Coun Darryl Smith, who set up the association.
Coun Smith has arranged for litter picking equipment and Rossendale Council will be collecting all the waste at the end.
Anyone who would like to take part can meet at the chip shop in Bolton Road West, at 1pm.
The litter pick is part of the Stubbins in Bloom initiative which should see hanging baskets adorning many houses and businesses in the area.
For more information contact Coun Smith on 07817413863.
