A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was indecently assaulted as she walked through a Blackburn park.
The girl, who was wearing a school uniform, was attacked by a man as she walked past the duck pond in Corporation Park. She managed to escape and ran home but was left distressed by the incident.

Detective Constable Tony Roberts said: “This was an unpleasant sexual attack on a young girl on her way home from school. She was very shocked and distressed by the whole incident.”
The attacker is described as an Asian male, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of slim build and between 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall. He also had a short beard. He was wearing a traditional South Asian shalwar kameez, which was white and knee length.
Ward councillor Hussain Akhtar said: “This is shocking. If people know anything please call the police. Children should be able to walk through the park without fear of being attacked.”
