THE wheels did not stop rolling at a wacky soap-box race.
The Stubbylee Soapbox Challenge saw homemade carts take part in downhill races along a quarter-mile wet and uneven track.

The carts took many different shapes and sizes including a cardboard tank and even a bath attached to a bicycle.
The event was staged by Stubbylee Community Greenhouses, which is part of the Bacup Consortium Trust. It supports the local community and focuses on rehabilitation for individuals who have physical or mental-health issues.
Stubbylee Greenhouses’ Souta Van Wick said: “We put the race on to show people what we do here for people who suffer long and enduring mental-health issues and social isolation. We believe everyone had a good day.”
