TWO pieces of machinery worth about £60,000 were stolen from an industrial unit.
A green John Deere tractor and JCB telescopic handler were taken from the Tarmac quarry, based in the Pimlico industrial estate, Clitheroe.
Insp Mark Porter of Clitheroe Police said the theft took place on Sunday night or early Monday.
He said: "The tractor and the telescopic handler are worth £30,000. It appears someone has walked into the site, found the keys from the storage place and driven the vehicles away.
"We believe there is a possibility that a low loader may have been involved to transport the vehicles away from the area."
