A 27-year-old man hit his ex-partner in the face with a urine soaked T-shirt and then whipped her repeatedly with a pair of jeans.
Hyndburn magistra-tes heard the incident started because Jamie Clayton's victim had eaten some food he had saved for himself.
Clayton, of Parkinson Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to assaulting Sarah Grist at her home in Clayton-le-Moors and was jailed for 120 days.
