HYNDBURN and Haslingden MP Graham Jones was the most responsive politician in East Lancashire last year, it was claimed.
The Labour man, who is currently campaigning for re-election at next month's general election, replied to 45 out of 48 people who responded to a survey by WriteToThem.com.
It meant he was the eighth most responsive MP in the UK, the survey found.
The website, which allows constituents to easily contact their MP, collated the results by asking users who sent their MPs a message if they received a response.
Tory MP for Pendle, Andrew Stephenson, responded to 26 out of 37 surveyed users, earning him a ranking of 180 out of 653 MPs.
In contrast, Labour MP for Chorley, Lindsay Hoyle, ranked at a lowly 597 after just 16 out of 66 surveyed users said they received a reply from him.
Former Blackburn with Darwen MP Jack Straw was ranked at 240, with 19 out of 29 users saying they got a reply.
And Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans, a Conservative, was not far behind him at rank 253, after replying to 37 out of 58 surveyed residents.
Darwen and Rossendale's Conservative MP Jake Berry ranked at 463, with 22 out of 52 surveyed users receiving a response.
* The website said it 'had possibly bad contact details' for Burnley's Liberal Democrat MP Gordon Birtwistle and did not rank him as a result.
