AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a BMW crashed into a wall in Blackburn.
The crash happened 1.20am today in Lammack Road. Police said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and that two passengers in the car had to be taken to hospital.
The fire service used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one of the men.

A police spokeswoman said: “The driver of the vehicle made off, leaving two passengers in the car.
“An investigation is ongoing to trace the driver.”
One passenger suffered a suspected broken leg and was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital. It is not thought the other man’s injuries were serious.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “ We were called to a road traffic collision, where a car was in collision with a wall. There were two casualties, one trapped in the car.
The other had got out of the vehicle before the arrival of firefighters, who used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the other person. Police and paramedics were also in attendance.”
The police spokeswoman added that a Mercedes was seen in the area shortly after the crash, but it sped off when police arrived.
It is believed the motorists in the white vehicle could have vital clues that could help police determine how the crash happened.
