A GROUP of Burnley cheerleaders swept the winners’ board at a national event.
The Clarets cheerleading troupe competed on both days of the UKCA Nationals at the Manchester Velodrome.

The dancers, who are associated with Burnley FC, blazed the trail in the Saturday cheerleading and group stunt and Sunday pom dance and street cheer.
Head coach Sophie Boyle said: “All together we came away with five second places, two thirds, a fifth and and four first place titles.
“We also came away with a very special achievement award called ‘The Spirit Award’ which is awarded to the team which has the most spirit and sportsmanship.
“The teams have been training since January with the hope we can go to Croatia in June to compete at the ECC European championship like we did last year.”
