'The Cotton Ball' sculpture in Darwen has been removed as heritage work to restore and preserve the town's Victorian splendour continues.
Work around the town hall and market began on February 19 as the first step in a five-year £2million project.
The Ball will be relocated to Wellington Fold, off Market Street.
