OLDER people are the first to benefit from the creation of the Stubbins Residents' Association.
The association, formed last July, this week presented a cheque for £275 to Age Concern.
The money was raised at last year's World Black Pudding Throwing Championships, organised by Stubbins Community Trust.
The event, which originated in Stubbins, takes place every September on Bridge Street in Ramsbottom.
The association was an amalgamation of the newly-formed residents' group and Stubbins Community Trust.
