A CAFE owner has hailed the "extremely high standard" of the 54 students who entered Blackburn College's Young Pastry Chef Competition.
Ian Sutherland, of Cafe Beees, Blackburn judged the event which saw Year 10 pupils from across the county's high schools attending six Saturday morning workshops.
The overall, winners were: Adam Bailey from Longridge High School, Beth Deardon from St Christopher's CE High School, Accrington and Danielle Speakman from Albany Science College, Chorley.
And the Best Achievers' were; Catherine Yarwood from Broughton Business Enterprise College, Henna Ahmed from Moorhead High School, Accrington and Rachel Thomson from Clitheroe Royal Grammar School.
