A CYCLIST was in hospital last night after suffering serious head injuries in a collision between his bike and a car.
The 40-year-old man, from Blackburn, was said to be in a stable condition in Royal Preston Hospital.

Lancashire police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Sunday.
Sgt Sean Cunningham, from the East Division Road Policing Unit, said a silver Toyota Avensis saloon car turned right onto Furthergate from its junction with Cherry Street, and was in collision with the cyclist.
He said: “We are investigating how this collision has come to occur.
“And I would encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in contact with us.”
