BILLINGTON and Langho Parish Council has objected to a plan to create a new caravan park near a pub.
The application for a 21-pitch touring caravan site on land to the read of the Petre Arms in Langho was submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council back in January.

Applicant Jack Lowther, who has owned the land for eight years, is also seeking permission for an outdoor play area and the construction of a storage building with a lean to facilities block.
Residents in the area were given until Friday, February 20, to submit their views on the application to the council before a final decision is made.
In a letter to the council the parish council said that it objected to the proposal on grounds including the impact on the natural environment and the increase in pollution.
