A MAN was pushed to the floor and had his mobile phone stolen during a robbery near the library in Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, police said.
The thief was described as a white man, aged about 18, 5ft 10ins tall wearing dark clothing.
The man was left shaken but unhurt in the attack, which happened on Wednesday.
DC Dave Greenwood, of Burnley CID, said: “This was a cowardly attack and I would appeal for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time to contact us.”
