Cllr Davies said: “They are going to put a camera in to observe the speed of traffic in Cornfield Street.
“And at the end of Cornfield Street at the junction with Industry Street they are going to put give way signs in.”
Cllr Davies said the move was part of the measures that were intended when contractors mistakenly painted a h bar – which prevents cars from parking alongside it – across the junction of Newton Street and Industry Street last week.
Cllr Davies said: “These are part of the safety measures we have been banging on about around here.
“The h bar is going to be moved as well.”
