DARWEN MP Jake Berry has called on residents to object to the planning application for 110 houses off Cranberry Lane.
As reported last week in the Lancashire Telegraph, Bloor Homes want to build the executive homes on land at Kirkham’s Farm.

Mr Berry said: “I know after organising last year’s public meeting just how strongly people feel about this application.
“I agree with them and will continue to back local residents who oppose this planning application.
“There are plenty of brownfield and former industrial sites across Darwen that should be prioritised for new homes before the council gives the thumbs up to bulldozing our green spaces around Darwen.
“Not to mention the obvious access issues. The lane is already choked with traffic most days.
“It is really important that as many people as possible object to this application.”
Comments on planning applications can be made by email to planning@blackburn.gov.uk Mr Berry added: “Hopefully we can convince Blackburn with Darwen Council to change its mind about using this green space for housing.”
