A HOUSE in Accrington was damaged after a suspected arson attack last night.
The fire service was called to the house in Elizabeth Street at 10pm and out out the blaze.
The house was empty but was heavily smoke-logged.
Police were called at 10.15pm and the fire, which caused fire damage to the ground floor and smoke damage to the rest of the house, is being treated as suspicious.
Duty inspector Mick Johnson said: "The house appears to be unoccupied, however it would appear there were numerous seats of fire.
"Actual damage to the property is minimal due to the early actions of the fire service."
