A BURNLEY pensioner died after falling in the grounds of Burnley General Hospital, an inquest heard.
Catherine Green-wood, 86, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, February 4 after falling and breaking her knee.

Blackburn Coroner Michael Singleton heard the retired shop assistant’s condition deteriorated and she died in hospital on Sunday, March 1.
Mr Singleton heard how a post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be bronchopneumonia, heart disease and obstructive airways disease, and an operated on broken bone.
Mr Singleton adjourned the inquest until next month.
