AGE UK in Darwen is offering older people over 60 who have not made a will the opportunity to do so.
The charity has joined with Barber and Co Solicitors to offer a will making session on Wednesday, April 1, at the solicitors offices in Railway Road.
People will be able to see a qualified solicitor who will take instructions for their will and offer advice.
The service costs £60 – including VAT – to produce one basic will.
Vicky Shepherd, Age UK’s chief executive, said: “If a person dies without having made a will, it can make things more difficult for their affairs to be sorted out and may even mean their wishes are not carried out as they would have liked.
“We hope these events will provide an extra opportunity for older people who want or need to make a will.”
